Pilates is a form of isometric exercises that focuses on developing core body strength. If you find yourself spending far too much time sitting in a chair in front of a computer or behind the wheel driving a motor vehicle, pilates may be the answer you should be looking for. If you suffer from a soft middle and chronic back pain, pilates exercises learned in class and practiced at home can return you to being a person who stands up straight with good posture and who needs a lot less chiropractic and massage to feel your best. Pilates is an exercise form where most people can find a place to start and improve from there over time. Barbara Dieringer is a certified pilates instructor who has been teaching fitness classes for more than 18 years. Our community is privledged to have her teaching us pilates at the Tualatin Heritage Center. Classes are drop in, $10 per class, if you purchase 10 classes ahead they are $8 each. All proceeds from the class go to Barbara and the Heritage center. Thursdays, 11:30am to 12:30 or call our office: 503-691-0901
